Founder and General Manager Dan Breeden started his career as a journalist, writing for  Inc.com, the Los Angeles Times, the San Jose Mercury News, and magazines and newspapers from around the Pacific Rim. 

He then transitioned into tech marketing, leading corporate communications and customer messaging for Yahoo! and Yahoo! Small Business. Additionally, as part of Yahoo and Verizon business development teams, he negotiated corporate contracts, working directly with such companies as Google, PayPal, Bank of America, Chase, and Constant Contact. He continues to serve as a board member and advisor with a growing Silicon Valley tech startup.

A homeowner and veteran HOA board member, Dan launched the HOA Election Team shortly after California enacted the Election Inspector guidelines. In 2025, HOA Election Team opened a second full-service office, this one in the Los Angeles Basin, to better serve all California HOAs, and now has offices in the Monterey Bay area and in Southern California.
